Terms & Conditions of the Capacitas Accreditation Scheme

General

1. Each Capacitas examination is associated with a Capacitas course. Candidates are required to attend the appropriate Capacitas course before undertaking the associated examination.
2. All examinations are offered subject to availability. Changes to the examination date, location or content will be informed no less than 10 working days prior to the examination date and the candidate will be given the opportunity to cancel or change to an alternative examination date. Examination fees can be refunded in these circumstances, although Capacitas Ltd accept no further liability.
3. Payment for examinations must be made before the examination is taken. Capacitas Ltd reserve the right to refuse examination admission if full payment is not forthcoming prior to the examination date.
4. Capacitas Ltd reserve the right to withdraw certification.
5. Capacitas Ltd reserve the right to amend course and examination material. Certification for retired examinations will be withdrawn after a standard notice period of 2 years, following a public announcement. Candidates will need to pass the revised examination in order to retain their qualifications.
6. Capacitas Ltd will post certificates within 30 days of the pass date. Reprints of certificates will be charged at £15 + VAT.
7. When presented with a certificate number, Capacitas Ltd reserve the right to confirm the validity of the certificate to any enquirer. No other information will be imparted unless requested by the certificate holder.
8. The Capacitas Examinations Board’s decision in all examination and accreditation matters is final.
9. All pricing is exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT), which will be added at the appropriate rate at the time of booking.
10. Instructions for candidates will be sent after receipt of booking details and at least 10 days prior to the examination date.

Practitioner Certificate in Capacity & Performance Management

11. Practitioner Certificates can only be awarded to candidates who hold a valid Foundation Certificate.
12. Practitioner Certificates are specific to a particular Practitioner Certificate examination.
13. If the Foundation Certificate examination is retired, any Practitioner Certificates held by the candidate will be withdrawn after the standard notice period of 2 years, as mentioned in point 5.

Advanced Practitioner Certificate in Capacity & Performance Management

14. Advanced Practitioner Certificates will be automatically awarded to candidates who hold four valid Practitioner Certificates and a valid Foundation Certificate.
15. If a Practitioner Certificate examination is retired and results in a candidate holding less than four valid Practitioner Certificates, the candidate’s Advanced Practitioner Certificate will be withdrawn after the standard notice period of 2 years, as mentioned in point 5.
16. If the Foundation Certificate examination is retired where the candidate holds four Practitioner Certificates, the candidate’s Advanced Practitioner Certificate will be withdrawn after the standard notice period of 2 years, as mentioned in point 5.
17. Only one Advanced Practitioner Certificate can be awarded to a candidate.
18. Capacitas Ltd will publish the full names of Advanced Practitioners on its website. To opt out of this service, the candidate will need to email enquire@capacitas.co.uk.

Manager's Certificate in Capacity & Performance Management

19. Manager’s Certificates can only be awarded to candidates who hold a valid Foundation Certificate.
20. Manager’s Certificates will be automatically awarded to candidates and can only be awarded when candidates successfully pass BOTH Manager’s Certificate examinations.
21. If any of the Manager’s Certificate examinations are retired, the candidate’s Manager’s Certificate will be withdrawn after the standard notice period of 2 years, as mentioned in point 5.
22. If the Foundation Certificate examination is retired, the candidate’s Manager’s Certificate will be withdrawn after the standard notice period of 2 years, as mentioned in point 5.

Cancellations

23. Examination attendance cancelled with less than 30 working days notice of the examination date will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Examination attendance cancelled with less than 10 working days notice will be subject to the full fee. No refunds will be given.
24. Any examination attendance cancelled after the 30 days notice period can, at the discretion of Capacitas Ltd, be swapped for a 50% discount on a later examination date, subject to availability.
