Technical Architecture
In defining a technical architecture, there are a number of capacity and performance issues that the architect needs to consider:
- What are the business drivers of the architecture?
- How can the business drivers be measured?
- What are the capacity and performance requirements of the architecture?
- What are the capacity/performance trade-offs between different architecture choices?
- How is performance monitoring and reporting incorporated into the architecture?
- How scalable is the architecture?
Capacitas has developed the Technology Architecture Service to help organisations address these questions prior to developing their technical architecture. Capacitas will carry out the following activities, where appropriate:
