Capacity Modelling and Planning
The production of a capacity plan is a fundamental activity for any capacity planning team. The Capacity Modelling and Planning Service enables clients to predict the ICT capacity requirements over their planning horizon. The service may be offered at all technology levels; application, service and infrastructure, depending on the client's requirements.As part of this service, Capacitas will work with the client to deliver the key components of the process:
- Defining the boundaries of the system under examination
- Defining the workload of the system through workload characterisation
- Identifying the business drivers of the system
- Business forecasting
- Workload modelling
- Capacity forecasting
- Writing the capacity plan
- Regular tracking of the capacity plan and updates to the model
