The presentation will discuss the relative merits and weaknesses of each approach, and the tools, people and processes required to deliver them. Whitepaper: Meeting the Challenges of Capacity Management in Virtualised Environments
Capacitas, the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) capacity and performance specialist has issued a white paper describing the possible solutions to some of the challenges that may be encountered when conducting capacity management of services based on server virtualisation technologies. The paper also reveals a number of important areas where virtualisation is not able to deliver the magnitude of cost savings that many organisations initially expect.

Paul Seaton-Smith will be presenting on "Experience in Agile Performance Testing". Capacitas has delivered performance testing as a managed service for some years. In 2007, a well-known low-cost airline adopted an Agile software development approach. This presentation will describe Capacitas's experience in conducting performance testing for this customer and how we are overcoming the challenges brought about by this change in development strategy.
